Annie Billings: Is the founder of AB Broadcasting Consultant LLC and has more than 25 years of experience in the Television Broadcasting industry. Her experience spans both commercial and non-commercial facilities.

 Annie’s media career began at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, NC in 1987 as operations technician.  Annie went on to become the operation supervisor in 1988. During her employment at WRAL she managed the daily operations of Master Control and videotape operations. It was at WRAL-TV that she was introduced to broadcast automation and multi-channel operations. Annie was responsible for managing the initial stages of WRAL. She assisted with the planning and design of the operational area, participated in hardware and software selection and assisted with development of software application for automation playback and record systems.

 Annie also has experience working  in the following capacities:

 DIRECTV (Sport Central Supervisor)

Annie provided resolution and corrective action of all major broadcast and play related problems related to Sport Channels. She was responsible for directing operations personnel, and programmed and managed Automation Systems for multi-channel operations.

 WOIO/WUAB (Engineering Operation Manager)

Annie provided management and oversight of  Engineering Operations for all on-air activities.  Other responsibilities included ensuring  operational compliance with FCC rules and regulations, developing and updating operations manuals and implementing new procedures as required.  She also trained  operators in diverse areas of broadcast operations; including transmitted operations and meter readings, log documentation, Emergency Alert System and Children's Television Act.  In addition, she provided  resolution and corrective action of major broadcast and plant related problems and interfaced with Programming Promotions, News and Traffic to resolve various issues.

HTVN (Engineering Operation Manager)

Annie was responsible  for establishing and maintaining daily Network Operations, ensuring   proper operations according to FCC rules and Regulations; and development and implementation  procedures for Sundance Automation system.  She was responsible for all on-air activities relating to Engineering Operations, including  program editing, signal distribution, master control operations, and satellite operations. She also provided resolution and corrective action of all major broadcast and plant related problems; provided Affiliate stations with assistance related  to network operational issues; and worked with Traffic, Promotions, and Programming to resolve various issues.

 Sundance Digital (System Trainer/Field Engineer)

Annie was responsible  for Sundance System configuration including Hardware Installation and software configuration for device control.  She was responsible  for training Broadcast Operators on Sundance system functions and operations; and training Engineers on system configuration, workflow, system maintenance and trouble shooting.  In addition she provided  technical support for Sundance Products to national and international clients, Software testing of Sundance Products; and assisted  Sales staff with technical demonstrations for national and International clients.

 Sundance Digital (Director of Training and Customer communications)

Annie was responsible  for training new engineers and developers on Sundance products and television broadcasting; and facilitated  communications between developers and engineers in reference to software changes. She worked with software developers on software changes and feature requests to facilitate user friendly  applications;  met and worked  with clients to provide Pre-Install Consulting, bridging the gap between purchase and install to facilitate a greater understanding of Sundance automation systems; and addressed  customer concerns and issues.

 Annie has spent her entire career in broadcast management, technical operations, personnel  and resource management.
